Your home lighting options will largely depend on the general style of your home. If, for example, your house is very modern with clean lines and simple lighting then you should also follow this pattern. If a common theme in your home is rural with lots of wood and chintz then you may want to choose lighting that complements and emphasizes that theme. One room that really benefit from proper lighting is a bedroom. The bedroom should have a mix of task lighting and background lighting. Soft background lighting can be provided by matching bedside lamps as task lighting comes from the central ceiling light. Many people want to have a bedside lamp so that they can be turned off after you’ve tucked comfortably.
